Church Beautification & Renovations
As faithful stewards of our parish, Philoptochos has proudly undertaken numerous projects to enhance and preserve the beauty of St. John’s Greek Orthodox Church. These efforts reflect our love for the Church and our commitment to creating a sacred and welcoming environment for worship. Over the years, our chapter has contributed to the completion and improvement of many important elements within the church, including:
-The installation of the Iconostasios, a central and sacred feature of our church.
-The commissioning of iconography, including the Pantokratora, the Platytera, and the Kimisis tis Panagias, which enrich the spiritual experience of all who enter our church.
-The development of the entrance plaza, providing a beautiful and inviting space for parishioners and visitors.
-The completion of stained glass windows, which fill our church with light, color, and reverence.
-Urgent emergency roof repairs to protect and preserve the integrity of our building.
-Upgrades to our kitchen and cabinetry, supporting both parish fellowship and hospitality.
-And many other smaller projects that enhance the function and appearance of our church space.

-One of our current projects is The Commemorative Paver Project, a major contributor to the Restoration Fund – an ongoing effort to beautify and restore our beloved church. So far, 76 engraved pavers are now in place and over $53,000 raised—plus a generous $25,000 matching gift from Philoptochos—$78,304 has been contributed to our restoration fund. We are deeply grateful for your generosity and support!
These contributions are made possible through the dedication of our members, the success of our fundraising efforts, and the generous support of our parish community.
